| I'm sure though, you'll appreciate that trying to describe
the exhilaration of an actual flight is like trying to describe a piece of music to someone
who has never heard music before ..... virtually impossible. So, really, you do have to
come and sample the delights of this wonderful activity personally ..... you HAVE to go
FLYING.
When you do, we promise you that you'll be transported into a totally unique dimension.
It really is mind-blowing yet very safe and you'll experience a treat that has no equal
anywhere.
The following famous poem written in 1941 by a young Royal Canadian Airforce pilot John
Gilespee Magee is the nearest we can come to describing this truly wonderful feeling ........
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft thro' footless halls of air.
Up, up, the long, delirious burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark nor even eagle flew -
And while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
The high, untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.
Whether you come with us on a 20 minute, 40 minute or 60 minute flight you will experience
the all true majesty expressed in this lovely poem ...... AND THAT'S A PROMISE. |
