Red Letter Days

Educational Groups & School Group Days Out

This is a very special day specifically aimed at giving the youngsters a very practical insight into the world of aviation.

School & Educational Group Days

It starts off with an interesting audio-visual presentation on the Theory of Flight plus a detailed briefing on handling the aircraft controls. In addition to a 20 minute flight in a modern ultralight aeroplane with an experienced instructor, the students gain more experience flying on our big dual controlled flight training simulator by attempting to land an aeroplane at Heathrow.

All flights can be logged as Exercise 3 of the Syllabus to obtain a National Private Pilot's Licence in the UK. Certificates are presented at the end of the day with the details of the aircraft and instructor. These details are kept on our database so that should the student decide to start on a course of flying lessons some time in the future the flight can be entered in the student's log book as part of the training received.

Many of our students have gone on to fantastic careers as airline pilots and who knows, this day's experience could well lead more youngsters into a lucrative career in the aviation industry who, otherwise, might not even have considered it.

  • The 20 minute flights allow for for groups of a minimum of 7 to a maximum of 30 persons.
  • The 40 minute flights allow for groups of a minimum of 7 to a maximum of 15 persons.
